The objective of this course is to train delegates in the principles and practices of undertaking quality management system audits in line with the generic guidelines laid down in ISO 19011 and the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2000 standard. Participants will also learn the skills and techniques of auditing and how to communicate the findings of the audit effectively to the management of the auditee organisation. On completion of the course, delegates should also understand the principles of accreditation and certification schemes.
COURSE
DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to provide delegates with
the knowledge needed to audit and improve quality management systems. This course
meets the requirements of the IRCA Registration Governing Board, satisfies IATCA
requirements and is certificated by them them to Quality and Environmental Development
under Registration Number A17077. It is run in conjunction with ISOQAR Limited.
The course comprises a mix of lectures and practical exercises including role-play
and case studies to provide the delegates with a full understanding of the quality
audit process. The practical exercises focus on the audit process using the
ISO 9001: 2000 standards.

Note: Delegates who gain a pass mark in the examination
will be deemed to have met the training requirements for registration as an
Auditor/Lead Auditor.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This course is designed for company staff who have
responsibility within a quality management system or will be involved in the
auditing of such systems. This course will also benefit those persons who manage
quality or purchasing within their organisations and wish to gain maximum benefit
from the quality management system audit process.
This course will be conducted by quality specialists
who are registered with the International Register of Certificated Auditors
(IRCA) as Lead Auditors and who have a hands on experience of certification
auditing and the requirements of quality systems. Their experience and knowledge
of all aspects of audit and quality management systems provides a valuable bonus
to delegates as this experience can be passed on during formal sessions and
informal discussions.
COURSE DURATION
This course runs for five days running from 8.30 am until 7.00 pm for the first four days and from 8.30 am until 4.00 pm on the final day. This course may be run in-house for organisations wishing to train a team of auditors.
