- the steps to becoming and Approved Contractor
- the development of ACS
- the key features of ACS
- the verification process
and to:
- focus on the areas of ‘new learning’
- develop some practical tips to apply
- give some understanding of the paperwork to be completed
- present the nine criteria and their indicators.
COURSE CONTENT
The SIA-ACS Awareness Course is a one day course providing:
- an overview of the SIA and the development of the ACS
- details of the difference between ACS and other standards
- information on the nine criteria in general and, in particular
- Criteria 2 - Process
- Criteria 3 - Commercial Relationship Management
- exercises and a case study to consolidate the course material
- information on the completion of SIA-ACS paperwork
- the opportunity to ask questions about the ACS process
- a review of the requirements of ISO 9001 for fast track contractors
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The course is designed for anyone who will be involved in the implementation of an ACS or assisting in its implementation and
managers and/or other members of staff who will be administrating an ACS within the security sector,COURSE DURATION AND STRUCTURE

There is a mix of lectures, exercises and case study and each delegate will be provided with a set of notes to accompany the course.
